Level 1: Let us teach you! No experience is required to be a part of the GMI Team. We will show you techniques and tools to grow your knowledge of the trade and industry. We are excited for you to learn what we love to do. 

Level 2: Now that you have some experience, you'll take on more jobsite responsibilities. This might include training and teaching others, learning more advanced trade techniques, and practicing to become a Level 3. 

Level 3: You are now proficient in the trade! Others will look to you for guidance on your crew. Keep working and mastering the trade. 

Master Level: This is an extreme proficiency in the trade. Your crew will look for you to answer questions, to be a mentor, to teach your craft at a high level. Master Level is not taken lightly. Much is expected because much has been earned. 

Seeking experienced Project Manager who can estimate and direct projects for both residential and commercial sites. The position requires a highly motivated professional with strong communication skills. The PM will be responsible for managing multiple accounts and multiple job projects at one time. The Project Manager exhibits an exceptional level of customer relations; recognizes the complexities of the project; is proficient with industry software; can prioritize, evaluate, negotiate, and make decisions based on experience. The Project Manager is a key role in building and growing the client base and the success of the company.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provides customer support from start to finish of all projects and maintains contact with clients during and after completion of project.

  • Reads and understands design/construction drawings and specifications; has proficient knowledge of design and construction processes.

  • Accurately estimates and prices all work to maximize volume and profitability.

  • Ensures timely execution of projects, within budget; interacts with other managers, support staff and production personnel to ensure customer/contract requirements and timelines are met.

  • Reviews contracts, specifically focusing on scope of work responsibilities.

  • Reviews plan changes and submit Change Orders and Requests for Information (RFI's).

  • Acts as the liaison to our manufacturers for product reports, submittals, as-built shop drawings, etc.

  • Manages the submittal process for commercial jobs.

  • Ability to represent the company at construction meetings.

  • Ensures all job files are maintained and complete; manages and inputs all documentation to support all databases required for successful completion of the project.

  • Prepares invoices for billing and any additional documentation required for billing purposes according to project contract documentation.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Project Management and Cost Estimating software

  • 4+ years working in a general contracting environment

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret construction drawings and documents

  • Ability to write professional business correspondence

  • Ability to present information to groups

  • Ability to solve problems and deal with variables

  • Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
